The Christmas Magic of Ransom Canyon

‘Happiness is not an ideal of reason but of imagination,’ according to Immanuel Kant. You could also say happiness is a condition of being that thrives when we are at peace with ourselves.
A wise man once wrote, “The Christmas spirit isn’t a seasonal feeling of joy and happiness that only lasts as long as the season does. The Christmas spirit is the force that leads us through the year with resilience and unexplainable joy even when things are not going our way. It lived in us as long as we were at peace with who we were and shared our love.”
The Christmas spirit is exemplified by the wonderful people in the little town of Ransom Canyon.
The town of Ransom Canyon is a small town built around a lake in the bottom of a canyon. The town is secluded and can only be reached by a dirt road from the main highway.

The town is full of Christmas magic. All the houses are lit up with Christmas lights. The towns people are very friendly and jolly. Some people traveling down the highway have unexplainable car trouble when they reach the exit for the road to Ransom Canyon and pull off the highway down the dirt road and enter a mist. When they come out of the mist, the small town of Ransom Canyon appears. Their problems are always magically resolved by the townspeople. And the guests always leave the town happy and full of Christmas spirit. There is also a magical mountain lion that hangs around the town and acts as the town’s protector. The mountain lion is a symbol of Jesus Christ mentioned in Revelation 5:5… Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah…

This is a novel about the happiness and joy that the true spirit of Christmas brings.
