Synopsis
This book contains a collection of Pen and Ink Christmas cards which were created over several years by the author, Lynn Ingram. In the book, he describes his process for creating the cards. Then, each card is presented with an original picture of the card scene, an explanation of the historical or personal values of the scene and then a drawing of the actual card. The book takes the reader through a journey of several years and over lots of different places. It also presents historical references and tales of times past in the observance of Christmas. The author's wife, Sandy, is a breast cancer survivor, and to honor her, ten per cent of any profits from this book will be donated to breast cancer research.
About the Author
Lynn Ingram retired from KEMET Electronics Corporation in 2005. His 30-year career with KEMET included various project, sales administration, and e-commerce management positions. Currently, he is the Senior Consultant at L. S. Ingram, LLC, a management consulting firm in the Upstate of South Carolina. Lynn holds a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from North Carolina State University (Go Wolfpack!) and an MBA from Furman University. Lynn has been doing pen and ink drawings and watercolor paintings for more than 30 years. In 1998, he started using some of his drawings as holiday cards for family members and close friends, adding small holiday touches such as wreaths, bows, snowmen, etc., to some of the churches and buildings he had drawn. The cards quickly became a popular item that recipients collected and included in their holiday displays year after year. They encouraged Lynn to extend his artistic endeavors, resulting in this book about his Christmas cards. Lynn and his wife, Sandy, live in Mauldin, South Carolina.
