I think readers looking for unusual Christmas books will immediately understand that this is not sugary holiday fluff. It feels more like an old winter collection someone discovers in a quiet shop or pulls from a shelf every December because it remembers something deeper than celebration alone.

Not all Christmas stories are cheerful. Some remember. Some mourn. Some quietly heal.

Christmas Stories From the Crones Castle gathers six unusual holiday tales wrapped inside a seventh story that binds them together with mystery, warmth, sorrow, and winter magic.

Within these pages are lonely souls, aging dreamers, old regrets, flickers of hope, and the strange beauty of Christmas remembered through time.

Written and illustrated by Patsy Stanley in an old-fashioned storytelling style, this collection begins with a first story for the children, while the remaining tales are meant for grown-up readers who still believe Christmas carries both heartbreak and wonder.
