The Nativity play is supposed to be the gentle highlight of Oddleton’s festive season.
This year, it’s more… explosive.
Long-suffering teacher Mrs Troyd is determined to deliver a peaceful, heart-warming school Nativity. The children, naturally, have other ideas.
The angels are arguing about which way up Baby Jesus should be held.
The shepherd has eaten her own bodyweight in Sour Squigglers.
And Mrs Troyd’s nemesis, Arianna le Grand, has whisked her perfectly-behaved children off on a last-minute skiing holiday, leaving gaping holes in the cast list.
Who on earth is going to replace the Angel Gabriel?
Will Mrs Troyd make it to Christmas with her sanity intact?
And did donkeys really wear sombreros in Ancient Palestine?
Full of heart, hilarity, and small-village mayhem, Christmas Comes to Oddleton is a delightfully disastrous festive comedy perfect for fans of cosy British humour, school-play chaos, and stories where everything goes wrong in exactly the right way.
