Christopher and Miguel

Christopher and Miguel is a story of the transformation of an average American boy into one of the violent creatures of the Cold War that we all knew were roaming our world, but few would claim. A middle class kid from Dallas, Christopher quietly became a warrior who carried out the dirty part of our national policy against the Soviet Union.

Matthew Bonnet is a fourth generation Texan. He was born in Tyler, grew up in Dallas and moved back to the rolling hills and pine forests of East Texas twenty-five years ago to raise his family after four years of military service that included a tour as a combat infantry officer in Vietnam.

He attended Tyler Junior College and has degrees from the University of Texas at Arlington and Southern Methodist University. Bonnet is a Realtor, an urban planner, a building contractor and a mediator, and was a locally elected government official for seven years. His leisure hours include NCAA soccer officiating, riding the back roads of East Texas on his touring bicycle, flying, sky diving, playing golf, and tending his bonsai plants.
