The hairs on the back of Dekker's neck stood on end as he felt the unmistakable tug of magical energy in the air. Returning the artifact to Dekker, Eamon clapped him on the shoulder, a gesture of camaraderie and solidarity that spoke volumes.

And with that, the Archmage rose, a renewed sense of purpose gleaming in his eyes. As if in response to his vow, a sudden gust of wind blew through the open window, scattering parchment and quills across the room.

"An Archmage's work is never done," Dekker conceded as he grabbed his staff and headed toward the door.
