Only days before the first Christmas on Staranana ever, the unthinkable happens—an ancient enemy returns from the depths of space.

Three months earlier, Lizard Face vanished into the icy void, seemingly forever, and he soon faded from the minds of the people he had oppressed for millennia. But Lizard Face has not forgotten Staranana—and now he's back with deadly intentions. Armed with a hijacked Stararockan ship and a mysterious and deadly alien computer virus, he kidnaps Emperor Scotty and takes him to a rocky, subterranean world on the far side of the galaxy.

His demand for the boy's safe return is a Starananian relic the bears know next to nothing about—but whose long-hidden powers rival the heavens themselves. Should the bears comply, even to save Scotty's life, it will spell certain doom for both Staranana and Stararocka. With time running out and his captors closing in, Scotty must find a way to escape and warn his friends before they make the greatest mistake in the history of both their worlds.

Yet Scotty's greatest challenge may not be escaping from Lizard Face at all. Trapped in the black dungeons of a distant world with no idea when—or if—help will come, he must learn to trust the Hidden King, the true LORD of Staranana, even when everything around him seems hopeless.

The fate of two worlds hangs in the balance. And once again, only a miracle will be able to save Staranana.
