viii-xv, 687pp, brown leather boards with inlaid gilt decoration, gilt decorated spine with raised bands, title in gilt on dark red label. Shelfworn, foxed, previous owner's library label to fep. B/w illustrated, pages toned. Top of spine frayed, boards stained in places. Previous owner's name, address and date to one of the front pages, long sticker to top rear of fep, under which is a brief pencil note about the author (described as Richard Thomson). Surface of fep damaged, where it appears labels have been removed. Further name/note to title page in ink, plus another name to rear of title page. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
