1. Nature of Offered Goods
   The seller offers only used (second-hand/antiquarian) goods, especially books, prints, graphic works, and other printed materials. These are pre-owned items and may show signs of wear or damage.

The condition of each item is described in detail in the product listing, including any visible wear, damage, stamps, annotations, or other defects. Where applicable, the listing may include photographs to illustrate the actual condition of the item.

The buyer is responsible for reviewing the item description and condition before placing an order. In case of any doubt, the buyer is encouraged to contact the seller for clarification.

1. Conclusion of the Purchase Agreement
   A binding purchase agreement is concluded through the AbeBooks platform when the seller confirms the buyer’s order.

2. Prices and Payment
   All prices displayed on the AbeBooks platform are final and include all applicable taxes and charges, unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Payment must be made using the methods offered by AbeBooks (e.g., credit card, PayPal). Goods are shipped only after payment is received, unless agreed otherwise in writing.

1. Shipping and Delivery
   Goods are typically dispatched within 2–3 business days of payment receipt.

The seller regularly delivers to all EU member states.
Shipping to non-EU countries (e.g., the United States, Canada, Japan) is available upon prior individual agreement.

The buyer is responsible for shipping fees, customs duties, and any applicable taxes in the destination country unless otherwise specified.

Shipments are sent via reliable postal or courier services, selected based on the nature and destination of the order.

1. Right of Withdrawal (Consumers in the EU)
   If the buyer is a consumer within the EU (i.e. a natural person not acting in a business capacity), they have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of receiving the goods, without stating a reason, in accordance with EU consumer protection law.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, the buyer must notify the seller via e-mail. The goods must be returned in the condition in which they were received and properly packaged to avoid damage during transit.

The buyer bears the cost of returning the goods. Once the returned goods are received and inspected, the purchase price including the standard shipping cost will be refunded.

1. Complaints and Liability for Defects
   Because the goods are used, normal wear and tear is not considered a defect and is not subject to complaint.

The buyer has the right to claim for undisclosed defects that significantly impair the usability of the item.
The complaint must be submitted within 24 months of receiving the item and should include a description of the defect and photographs, if applicable.

In the case of a justified complaint, the buyer may request:

a price reduction,

replacement (if possible), or

withdrawal from the contract (in the case of a major defect).

The buyer must return the defective item at their own expense. Once the item is received and inspected, the appropriate amount including standard shipping costs will be refunded.

1. Dispute Resolution
   Consumers within the European Union may use the EU Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform to resolve disputes out of court:

All other disputes shall be governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, with jurisdiction vested in the courts of the seller’s registered office.

1. Final Provisions
   These terms and conditions are valid from the date of publication.
   The seller reserves the right to modify these terms. Any such changes do not affect contracts already concluded under a previous version.
