'The Church: Principles, Patterns & Problems' looks at the church, 'the called out ones' as a multifaceted diamond. It is the change agent, the salt and light, the city on a hill, the mystery revealed. God's strategy and plan on display, engaged in spiritual warfare with principalities and powers. The book looks at several of the phrases used to describe the church such as the bride of Christ, the family of God, the living stones, the pillar and ground of the truth, among others. Many of the fundamentals of a healthy church are listed. The all important question "who is building the church?" is asked, along with considering the multi various components, that they make up the non-negotiables of a healthy and growing church. The seven churches in the book of Revelation are considered, along with what the author describes as seven different corporate heart conditions.
