About the Author

Gabrielle and Chris met 28 years ago teaching at an independent boarding school in New Hampshire. Since then they have: taught, coached or led children and adults, managed projects and properties, backpacked, sea kayaked and mountain biked and traveled together in over 70 countries around the world.
"For both of us it started as children when we began hiking and camping with our families and siblings. We learned to rough it, to be independent and to love and appreciate nature. As young adults we also had opportunities to travel internationally to visit relatives overseas as well as for academic study. We learned to enjoy cultural differences and feel comfortable in unusual environments."
With a love for photography and video, and a desire for adventure they have journeyed together for months or even years at a time, returning to families and jobs on a regular basis.
With their photos and stories they hope to share some of their experiences, knowledge and cultural insights with others.
