About the Author

David Schroeder is Professor of Music and Film Studies and the Associate Dean of Arts and Social Sciences at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada. His two previous books are Haydn and the Enlightenment (Oxford UP) and Mozart in Revolt: Strategies of Resistance, Mischief and Deception (Yale UP).
