Circles

By way of introduction, the cold, hard slap of reality will, almost immediately, leave an indelible mark. In this breathtaking look at the lives of five women struggling with their identities, Baxter delivers a unique yet informed view about the effects of betrayal. Mistrusting in their self-worth, they form an unlikely friendship while searching for something deemed missing in their lives. Intrigue, pain, and pleasure, with several surprising twists; it's an emotional rollercoaster, as introductions cause circles to cross and events to unfold. I liked very much that the book lives up to its title, the dialogue is often hilarious, and it never feels like the novel is trying too hard to make connections. Instead, the audience thinks they know what's coming next. WRITER'S DIGEST What a wild ride! Powerful, tragic, happy. A look at real-life hits all the emotional buttons. Stephanie , Editor. Celeste (Beta-reader). JT Baxter has the rare gift of making his audience form strong, sometimes contradictory opinions about the characters he creates. I loved some, loathed others, and felt more than a few were kindred spirits. Not only does he prove that he understands women, but he seems to know us, the varied forms we come in, to the degree that it makes one wonder who his spies are and why they are giving away all our secrets. The mark of a great storyteller. That moment in the middle of the night, when events unfold, makes the reader want to throw the book across the room and scream, 'NO!'
