About this Item

Immediate dispatch from Somerset. Nice book in great condition. Pages in excellent condition. Dual language. Hardcover. English. See images for condition. About the book >.>.> For the first time ever in Russia, Moscow Museum of Modern Art proudly presents a large scale retrospective of works by Dmitri A. Prigov. Much time will pass until the Prigov phenomenon is estimated at its true worth, and this exhibition will no doubt be a major step towards the clear perception of his gift. A rebel and a philosopher, a daring orator and a modest man. Prigov went far ahead of his time and therefore was not properly understood during his lifespan. Now we ought to redress this injustice and thrust the door open to the vast universe named -Prigov. Dmitri A. Prigov played a very special role in our museum's history-from the day of its founding, he took an active part in many of our undertakings. In 2001, when the new museum was still obscure to the public. Prigov loaned us several of his works for a long-term exhibit (afterwards we purchased two of them for our permanent collec tion). Then examples of Prigov's oeuvre were shown in the same hall as works by Boris Orlov, another outstandin.
