Classic Modelling Guides Vol 1 The Luftwaffe in the Battle of Britain 1940

The Classic Publications 'brand' is recognized as an authoritative specialist publisher on the Luftwaffe. In the "Classic Guide to Modelling" leading modeller Brett Green applies this expertise to modelling books on two campaigns in World War 2 - the Luftwaffe in the Battle of Britain and the Luftwaffe on the Eastern Front, offering a broad view of Luftwaffe aircraft in the campaign.

Each book will contain plentiful black and white wartime photos on featured aircraft (fighters and bombers) blended with color photos of model construction. Color profile artwork will be augmented by 'flat art' schematic views of upper and lower surfaces and 'scrap' detail views. Following an overview of each aircraft's operational history (where known) and history of its units, the reader will be given a visual step-by-step guide to building that particular aircraft by top-class/award-winning modellers, with guides to variant conversion, markings, weathering etc.

Further information includes: tools and equipment; tips from the experts; short history of campaign; tint boxes on key aces and pilots; kit availability, reference sources and websites; and, summary of after-market products and associated products such as resin and etched brass conversion kits, decal sheets, paints etc.

Brett Green has written eight books in the Osprey Modelling Series. His interests include aircraft history and camouflage, building scale models, photography and flying.
