Add to basketA classroom-ready teaching resource for Charles Dickens’s A Christmas Carol, with activities and exercises designed to support literature, literacy, and cross-curricular learning.
Designed for the classroom, this resource book contains activities and exercises to help teachers bring Charles Dickens’s A Christmas Carol into the classroom. Although it was designed to be used alongside the Classical Comics graphic novel editions, this teaching guide uses the novel as a springboard for learning and can be used with any version of the book.
The exercises approach the text from a cross-curricular perspective, covering literature and literacy as well as history, technology, drama, reading, speaking, writing, and art. Sections include Charles Dickens: His Place in English, Understanding the Novel, Character, Language, and Creative Writing.
Students can design their own Christmas card, write a modern version of the story, write a book review, color pages, solve anagrams, and more while deepening their understanding of Dickens’s classic holiday story.
