Classical Comics Teaching Resource Pack: The Tempest : Making Shakespeare Accessible for Teachers and Students

A classroom-ready teaching resource for Shakespeare’s The Tempest, with activities and exercises designed to support language, history, drama, and art.

The Tempest, with its vibrant characters — including the sorcerer Prospero, the magical sprite Ariel, and the twisted Caliban — along with its colorful island setting and dramatic plot, is one of Shakespeare’s most alluring plays.

In this teaching resource, Kornel Kossuth shows students how to appreciate the play through a series of activities and exercises exploring Shakespeare’s use of language, history, drama, and art. Illustrator Jon Haward brings these themes — and the exciting story — to life with vivid artwork.

Designed to support classroom study and guided discussion, this teaching resource can be used with any edition of The Tempest.
