A very handsomely bound book rebound in the late 19thc spine with raised bands, titles and decorations in the compartments in now faded gilt, boards with gilt rulings around blind decorations marbled end papers. The cronological table at the front of the book consisting of 17 pages has been very heavily underlined & notated in red black & blue crayon , signature of a previous owner on both feps, no other markings are present, some slight foxing of end papers , 726 pp. plus 13 pages of Greek measures of length at the rear of the book. Book is from the library of The MacDermot , Prince of Connaught, Coolavin, Co Sligo.
