Add to basketThree early editions of John Chetwode Eustace's detailed and colourful travel works on Classical Italy. In three volumes.Undated, dated 1812 from WorldCat. However it seems doubtful that this is the date, as this was before the first edition was published by J. Mawman. This edition published by Ward, Lock, &Co is very scarce.A charming topographical work on Italy, following the author as he travels through classical Italy.Containing'From Venice to Rome', 'Rome, Naples, & Etruria', and 'Florence, Milan, and Turin'.Written by John Chetwode Eustace, an Anglo-Irish Catholic priest. He is best known for his antiquary works. These 'Classical Tour' volumes made him a sudden celebrity. Rebound in a cloth binding, with original spine labels. Externally, smart. A little discolouration, rubbing, and a small amount of loss to the spine labels. A very small amount of bumping to the head and tail of the spines and to the extremities. Bookseller's label to the front pastedowns. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with just a few odd spots. Pages uncut to the top edge. Very Good Indeed.
