About the Author: Nico Nelissen is professor of environmental studies at Tilburg University, as well as professor of public administration at the University of Nijmegen, the Netherlands. He was a member of the National Council for Environmental Problems, and he was also the president of the Dutch Committee for Long-Term Environmental Policy. He has written books on urban renewal, monument care, urban planning, architecture, public administration, and governmental policy. Jan van der Straaten taught at the European Centre for Nature Conservation at Tilburg University. He is a member of the editorial board of Business Strategy and the Environment; in addition he is vice president of the European Society for Ecological Economics. Leon Klinkers holds degrees in biology, political science, and business administration from the University of Nijmegen. Among his publications the most recent are Sustainable Measures: Evaluation and Reporting of Environmental and Social Performance (coeditor, 1999) and Sustainable Banking, the Greening of Finance (coeditor, 2001). He is currently working for Deloitte & Touche and teaches sustainable development at the Fontys University Eindhoven.
