Limited Large Paper Edition, one of only 600 numbered copies issued, this being Copy No. 48. Printed on oversized paper with wide margins and illustrated throughout with plates.

Uniformly bound in matching deluxe leather bindings over marbled boards with raised bands, elaborate gilt-tooled spines, gilt lettering, marbled endpapers, ribbon markers, and gilt top edges. An exceptionally attractive early twentieth-century classical library set.

Condition: Near Fine to Fine. A remarkably well-preserved set. Bindings remain tight and square with bright gilt and minimal wear. Interiors are exceptionally clean with no ownership markings noted. The volumes appear unread, retaining crisp pages and strong internal structure throughout. A handsome low-numbered example of this limited edition.

An impressive and decorative library set containing four cornerstone works of classical Western literature in a uniform deluxe binding rarely encountered in this condition.
