The Clavister cOS Core Cookbook: An Introduction to Clavister cOS Core (Clavister Cookbook Series)

cOS Core is the software that powers Clavister’s principal range of Next Generation Firewalls. It can run on Clavister‘s own hardware or as a virtual firewall in environments such as KVM and VMware. This book is an introduction to using cOS Core to secure and protect networks, both large and small. It goes through an extensive collection of real-world examples to show how cOS Core can be used to control, restrict and monitor data traffic flowing to and from the public Internet, as well as traffic flowing between internal users. The recipes cover a wide variety of network security problems that range from implementing security policies or blocking traffic types, to neutralizing malware or putting limits on bandwidth usage. The cookbook is printed in full color with almost 250 screenshots and network diagrams.
