Ivy Larson was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at the age of twenty-two, which inspired her to radically overhaul her diet and lifestyle. With the help of her husband, Andy, a physician, Ivy developed an anti-inflammatory nutrition program that has kept the symptoms of her disease in remission for more than twenty years. A foodie interested in clean eating long before it was popular, Ivy has worked for two decades to develop and perfect mouthwatering recipes that appeal to the whole family. She is the founder of cleancuisine.com and the author of four top-selling nutrition books. Ivy’s Clean Cuisine has helped tens of thousands of people with all kinds of inflammatory medical conditions improve their health and regain their quality of life. Ivy’s story and her expertise in nutrition and clean cooking have made her a popular figure among national media outlets. Andrew Larson, MD, FACS, FASMBS, is a board-certified general, laparoscopic, and bariatric surgeon, one of only a few hundred physicians in the world to have directed an internationally certified “Center of Excellence” program offering weight-loss surgery. He graduated with distinction from Cornell University, then received his MD from the University of Pennsylvania and trained in surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania Hospital, Newark-Beth Israel Medical Center, the Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, and New Jersey’s Monmouth Medical Center. He has published multiple peer-reviewed journal articles and, with his wife, Ivy Larson, has authored four top-selling books on healthful eating and living. Dr. Larson works in Palm Beach County, Florida, as the lead surgeon for JFK Medical Center’s Bariatric Wellness and Surgical Institute. He is part of the affiliate faculty of the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine. He also chairs Project Access, an organization that has coordinated and provided more than $13 million in charitable medical care to patients in need in Palm Beach County.
