About the Author

Dr Jim Treasurer, Aquaculture and Fisheries scientist, of FAI Farms. Jim was Divisional Health Manager with Marine Harvest from 1989, then Aquaculture research manager UK for Seafish, and later Research director of VFF Ardtoe Marine Laboratory. His development and research activities in sustainable aquaculture include Integrated Pest Management of sea lice including biological control, Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture, alternative fish feeds, rearing of novel species to aquaculture such as cod and haddock and cleaner fish, fish reproduction and fish welfare.
