Key Features & Provenance
Charming Provenance: Features a beautifully preserved, authentic contemporary ink gift inscription on the front endpaper reading: "With all good wishes to Lizzie ? April 24th 1893" (visible in verbatim file image_13.png).
Bibliographically Complete: Collation verified complete at 336 pages. Includes the final text leaf showing "THE END" alongside the original, untouched publisher's catalogue of general literature at the rear (visible in verbatim file image_10.png).

Detailed Condition Report
Overall: Good to Very Good Condition ? An exceptionally solid, honest, and highly presentable example of late-19th-century book production.
Binding & Cloth: Bound in the publisher's original maroon cloth. The silver-gilt lettering to the spine and front board remains remarkably bright and legible (see verbatim files image_16.png and image_18.png). Spine ends and corners show standard, gentle shelf wear and softening typical of its 130+ years of age.
Text Block & Internals: Hinges and text block remain firm and securely attached. The internal pages are notably clean and bright; there is some expected light age-related foxing/spotting strictly limited to the endpapers and preliminary title pages, leaving the body text and plates wonderfully clear.
