Clark Flood’s first book is an expansive collection of biting, darkly humorous essays about art and the people who serve it. Topics explored include navigating art fairs, stalking art dealers, and selling art on the internet. Readers learn about decoding “vibrant” community, choosing the “context” for exhibiting work, and the dangers posed by treacherous “art bureaucracy”. Clark drags us down a bleak and dystopian rabbit hole, issuing grim warnings, yet laughing all the way. A must for young creatives who wish to become cynical.
