Very good condition overall, in a very good original illustrated dust jacket. The burgundy cloth boards are clean and square, with sharp corners and clear green lettering to spine and front; binding is firm and text block solid. The dust jacket retains strong color and an attractive pictorial design, with moderate edge wear, shallow chipping at spine ends, scattered rubbing, and small losses along folds, as visible. The spine panel shows noticeable fading to the author?s name, and there is light soiling and age toning to the rear panel. Internally, the book is sound, with some foxing and mild toning. A contemporary ownership stamp appears on the front endpaper, along with a brief pencil notation; no loose pages, repairs, or structural defects.

A complete Grosset & Dunlap reprint edition of Climax by Peter Ash, copyright 1938 by the Penn Publishing Company, presented in its original illustrated jacket. The volume includes the printed publisher?s note regarding the unabridged text. An appealing example of a late-1930s American novel in a well-preserved pictorial jacket, increasingly uncommon in this condition.
