About the Author: Elizabeth Zorzanello Emery is an Assistant Professor of Nutrition and Director of the Coordinated Program in Dietetics at LaSalle University in Philadelphia.'She has practiced in the field of Dietetics for over 30 years and is a Licensed Registered Dietitian and Board Certified Nutrition Support Clinician.'She earned her Bachelor of Science in Foods and Nutrition from Drexel University and completed her Coordinated Program in Nutrition at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She holds a Master of Science in Health Education from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia and a Graduate Certificate in Instructional Technology Management from LaSalle University.'She has served on the boards of the Philadelphia Area Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition and the Philadelphia Dietetic Association.'She currently teaches both theory and practice courses in Medical Nutrition Therapy in' LaSalle’s Coordinated Program in Dietetics.'She has been the recipient of several teaching awards, including the Make a Difference Award given by the Drexel University Student Athletes and the Outstanding Dietetics Educator Award given by the American Dietetic Association (now the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics) and the Pennsylvania Dietetic Association (now the Pennsylvania Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics).'
