About the Author: Amelie Hollier is a nationally certified family nurse practitioner. She is president and CEO of Advanced Practice Education Associates (APEA). She is in clinical practice at St. Clare's Employee Health Service at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette, Louisiana. She has co-authored and authored fifteen books for primary care providers. Dr. Hollier travels extensively throughout the US presenting on-site certification exam review courses and topics related to advanced pharmacology and primary care topics to professional APRN groups. She received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Tennessee-Memphis in December 2007. Dr. Hollier was inducted as a Fellow in the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners in the summer of 2007.
