Too Close For Comfort

Too Close For Comfort by Colleen Collins released on Jul 25, 2003 is available now for purchase.

TOO CLOSE FOR COMFORT is the first in a 2-book series with my good friend and talented author Barbara Dunlop (whose sequel is TOO CLOSE TO CALL). As I'm a die-hard city girl, and Barb lives in a log cabin in the Yukon, we thought how much fun it would be to write stories that reflect our very different backgrounds. Then we snagged on the idea of a "Parent Trap" for adults story where two men, one a sophisticated big-city executive, the other a rugged Alaskan, discover they're twins and swap places.

And so our books were born.

I wrote the big-city executive stuck in a remote town in the Alaskan interior. Think James Bond forced to "rough it." Martinis? Filet mignon, rare? Forget it. It's whisky shots and slabs of moose. And when Jeffrey (the hero) hooks up with a wild-hearted Alaskan bush pilot--a rough and ready woman named Cyd who's more than his match, Jeffrey learns first-hand that one can never get too close for comfort...
