It is the true story behind the executions of Lieutantants Harry Harbord Morant and Peter Joseph Handcock at Pretoria Gaol on February 27, 1902, which has never been told before. The author describes the circumstances that led to the Boer War recruiting in Australia, the political situation in Britain at the turn of the 19th/20th century, Kitchener's tactics, the birth of guerilla warfare and reconstructs the incidents which Morant and Handcock were court martialled.
