Cloud of Terns [Paperback] Colman, Arthur D.

Cloud of Terns, the first of the new REVENGE INC series of psychological thrillers, adroitly probes the disturbing and controversial subject of revenge. Meticulously drawn characters and an exciting plot traverse the landscape of the San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, and the Seychelles islands to dispel the clouds hiding truth and betrayal. Arthur D. Colman, a Harvard-educated physician, psychiatrist, Jungian analyst, and well-known author, relies on his professional experiences and world travels to create a scenario where he delves into the psyches of perpetrators and prey. In his compelling construct, revenge is the desperate and final instrument that empowers the victim to decide on the physical, psychological, and ethical limits of retribution and, thus, liberation.   Colman brilliantly uses the company Revenge Inc. to navigate the darkest paths toward revenge. Headed up by former college football stars Wiley Stone and Dave Blue, Revenge Inc. takes over when the legal system fails, enabling clients to find the ultimate justice. In Cloud of Terns, a violent twist of events propels Renata, a beautiful young Seychellois woman attending an American university, to seek the services of Revenge Inc. A fraternity hell night, a rape, a suicide, a cover-up, scapegoating, and the abuse of power—this psychological thriller has it all, wrapped up in one heart-pounding read.

Jungian depth analyst, Harvard-educated physician, psychiatrist and author, Arthur D. Colman is an expert on scapegoating and what it inspires: revenge. He is the author of nine nonfiction books, including the bestselling "Up from Scapegoating: Awakening Consciousness in Groups," and lectures and consults worldwide on issues of scapegoating and leadership transformation.

A resident of Sausalito, CA, and professor of psychiatry at UCSF School of Medicine, Dr. Colman is also the author of the Revenge, Inc., series of psycho-thrillers, including "Cloud of Terns" and the newly released "Revenge of the Scapegoat." Based on real-life stories culled from his years of treating victims of emotional and physical abuse, the Revenge series allows Dr. Colman to explore the deeply rooted need to get even.
