Teri was born and spent her early years in Redondo Beach, California, but grew up in Wenatchee, Washington, the "Apple Capital of the World," where her childhood home was surrounded by apple orchards. She has been a writer for more than twenty years, starting with freelance magazine articles while she was a librarian. She went on to become a corporate writer and web manager for a regional medical center, then managed communications, news and social media for a large school district. Teri and her husband live on beautiful Lake Chelan. The lower portion of the 55-mile-long lake is a designated American Viticultural Area, full of vineyards and wineries. The upper lake is a wilderness area, home to abundant wildlife and spectacular mountains. She is a member of the Pacific Northwest Writers Association and the Write on the River Association.
