About the Author
Amy J. Alessio is a teen librarian at the Schaumburg Township District Library in Illinois. She writes and edits fiction and nonfiction, including two books coauthored with Kim Patton: A Year of Programs for Teens (2007) and A Year of Programs for Teens 2 (2011). Alessio s reviews have appeared in Booklist and Crimespree Magazine. She served two terms on the YALSA Board of Directors and was honored in 2013 with the first Illinois Library Association Young Adult Librarian of the Year Award.
Heather Booth is committed to serving the dynamic needs and interests of young people in a community setting. She has been a teen services librarian in the Chicago suburbs since 2002, currently at the Thomas Ford Memorial Library, in Western Springs. She is the author of Serving Teens through Readers Advisory (ALA Editions, 2007) and several chapters on readers advisory for teens in other professional works. She reviews books for youth and audiobooks for Booklist. Her article RA for YA won the feature article award from Public Libraries in 2006.
