Sara Smith spent almost thirty years with IBM as a leader, executive coach and consultant. In 2001, she became part of IBM's global transformation team to help orchestrate the transformation of IBM into a premier services company.
Smith left IBM in 2007 and established her own firm, Smith Leadership, which helps athletic coaches, businesses, and nonprofits accelerate success through emotional intelligence, leadership training, and coaching.
Sara combined her business expertise with her passion for sports to write Coach to Coach. It reflects her work with schools in the Southwest, including the University of Houston and the University of North Texas. Watch for her next book about creating high-function athletic organizations.
Smith holds bachelor's and master's degrees from Texas Christian University and is a Master Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation.
Smith spends her free time camping with husband, Paul; walking her rescued greyhound, Jake; and playing the Native American flute.
