Kathy Veroni has served as head softball coach at Western Illinois University (WIU) in Macomb, IL for more than 25 years. A past president of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association and United States Fastpitch Association, Veroni has won over 1,000 women’s premier and Division I college games, as well as founding a women’s premier fastpitch team that she coached to two U.S. Olympic Sports Festivals.
Veroni is a member of both the Illinois State University Hall of Fame and the Illinois Amateur Softball Association Hall of Fame. She has also recruited, coached, and taught two Olympians: Dot Richardson for the United States and Kara McGaw for Canada.
When away from softball, Veroni enjoys golfing, gardening, and camping.
