Gobi Saravanan Kaliaraj is currently working as Assistant Professor (Research) in the Department of Biotechnology, School of Bio Sciences and Technology (SBST), Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, India. Previously, he worked as Associate Professor at the centre of Excellence for Additive Manufacturing, Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai, India. He is the Young Scientist award recipient from the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. Currently, he is working in the field of surface modification, antimicrobial coatings, 3D scaffolds, biomaterials, corrosion protection of implant materials, bioactive and biocompatible materials. He received various research grants, including from the Department of Biotechnology, Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Government of India. For his credit, he has authored more than 55 Web of Science-indexed publications, 10 book chapters, and 3 Indian patents.
A.M Kamalan Kirubaharan is a researcher and ERA Talent fellow at Alexander Dubcek University in Trencin, Slovakia, presently working on thin films prepared through PVD and PECVD processes for optoelectronic applications. He has a background in ceramic coatings for corrosion and high temperature applications, ceramic matrix composites, and metal/ceramic thin films created using various physical vapor deposition (PVD) processes. He has extensive experience with thermal evaporation, electron beam evaporation (EBPVD), pulsed laser deposition (PLD), and RF/DC magnetron sputtering systems, along with strong expertise in XPS data analysis and surface characterization. Between 2019 and 2024, he led eight sponsored projects from the defense and aerospace sectors and secured institutional funding for product development and commercialization, demonstrating strong experience in industrial collaborative research. He has published 80+ papers with 1300+ citations and holds 9 Indian patents. He has served as a guest editor for Ceramics-MDPI, Coatings-MDPI, and Frontiers in Materials journals and a reviewer for a number of prestigious publications.
Ketul Popat is a Professor and Chair in the Department of Bioengineering at George Mason University. Prior to coming to George Mason University, he was Professor in Department of Mechanical Engineering/School of Biomedical Engineering at Colorado State University for 16 years. His work centers on using micro- and nanotechnology to design implants such as stents, heart valves, and hip/knee joint implants―that promote controlled, guided, and rapid healing. Specific research areas include Titanium Nanomaterials for Orthopedic Implants, Blood-Contacting Biomaterials for Cardiovascular Medical Devices, Polymeric Nanostructured Surfaces for Tissue Engineering Applications. He has authored over 175 peer-reviewed publications in journals such as Langmuir, Biomaterials, Journal of Orthopedic Research, Journal of Biomedical Materials Research, etc. and has and h-index of 54. He has presented his work at numerous national and international level conferences, has established strong research collaborations with researchers from Brazil, India, South Africa, Italy, etc. He received his Ph.D. in Bioengineering from University of Illinois at Chicago in 2003, M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago in 2000 and B.E. in Chemical Engineering from M. S. University in India in 1998.
John Nesan, Director, Centre for Technology Assisted Reconstructive Surgery (CTARS) Pvt Ltd. is a maxillofacial surgeon by profession. He has over 17 years of experience in working with Rapid prototyping and stereolithographic models, and being associated with market leaders like Materialise, 3DSystems etc. CTARS is an exclusive healthcare 3D design and print unit. CTARS is the India's first and only 3D design and print unit for VSP (Virtual surgical planning) and 3D Splint fabrication for Orthognathic Surgery (correction of the jaws). Dinesh Kumar Devarajan is currently working as Assistant Professor (Research) in the Department of Physics, School of Advanced Sciences (SAS), Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, India. Previously, he worked as Associate Professor at the Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology at Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai, India. He earned his M.Sc. in Physics from Periyar University, followed by M.Tech. in Nanoscience and Technology, and Ph.D. from Anna University. He has been awarded prestigious fellowships, including Council of Scientific and Industrial Research Senior Research Fellowship (CSIR-SRF) and Science and Engineering Research Board National Postdoctoral Fellowship (SERB-NPDF). Dr. Dinesh serves as Principal Investigator for several research projects funded by DST-SERB, and ISRO centres, including VSSC and LPSC. His research focuses on adaptive self-lubricating hard coatings, biocompatible wear-resistant coatings, and high-temperature materials aerospace applications. He has authored more than 30 Web of Science-indexed publications, seven book chapters, and three patents. His work contributes to advances in nanostructured coatings, functional materials, aerospace engineering, and biomedical technologies.
Sudip Mondal is an Assistant Professor at the Digital Healthcare Research Center, Pukyong National University, Busan, South Korea, specializing in Photomedicine. His pioneering research in photothermal and photodynamic therapies has significantly advanced disease treatment, with additional expertise in bioimaging using photoacoustic and fluorescence techniques. He received his Ph.D. in 2015 from the CSIR-Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute and the National Institute of Technology Durgapur, India, followed by postdoctoral research at the Autonomous University of Puebla, Mexico (2015–2017). He was subsequently awarded the National Scientific Investigator Fellowship (CONACyT, Government of Mexico, 2017–2019) and served as a Research Professor (2017–2023) at Pukyong National University, South Korea. He has been continuously recognized from 2021 to 2025 in the Elsevier–Stanford University World’s Top 2% Scientist List, reflecting his sustained global research impact. His research interests include Nano-Biomedicine, Tissue Engineering, and Cancer Therapy, focusing on the synthesis of nanostructured materials and their biomedical applications. Till date He has published over 75 international journal papers, holds 3 patents, and has an impressive Google Scholar h-index of 39, i10-index of 54, and 4,608 citations (as of October 2025). He serves as Guest Editor and reviewer for the International acclaimed publishing houses. He is also an active member of the External Ph.D. Review Committee and the Regional Research Laboratory Centre in Busan, South Korea.
