Students will create a digital portfolio showcasing their understanding of ethical principles and their application to emerging technologies.

Students will learn about online privacy and security, relating it to “The Hen and the Golden Egg” story. They will explore how to build strong "houses" of digital protection. In our increasingly digital world, privacy and security have become fundamental concerns. As the students begin to navigate online spaces more independently, understanding these concepts is crucial for their safety and well-being.

Tweens create Ethical Tale based games and animations on MIT Scratch3.0 coding platform, one of the most popular programs in primary schools on the National curriculum. To create the games in this book, children will need a desktop computer or a laptop. The games require a proper keyboard so will not work well on a tablet or iPad. It is recommended that children should be supervised when using the internet, especially when using a new website.

Students explore password strength and simple encryption techniques. They learn how to create strong passwords using combinations of numbers, letters, and symbols. Students also engage in basic cryptography activities, learning how information can be encoded and decoded.

Students analyze “The Hen and the Golden Egg” and write technical guides for online safety. They discuss how the story's theme of security relates to online protection. Students practice writing clear, step-by-step instructions for protecting personal information online.
