The Codes of Classic Rock (Mirror Images)

A professional assassin hides in plain sight—disguised as a harmless old woman—when she slips into a group of homeless drug addicts and poisons six of them on a cold, rain-soaked November night.
It’s only the beginning.
A calculated campaign of murders and brutal assaults follows, designed to drive the city’s criminal underbelly into hiding. Assigned as lead detective, Angeline Morris quickly realizes the uncomfortable truth: no one in the police hierarchy expects—or even wants—this case solved.
Then the killer makes a fatal mistake.
She begins calling into a late-night classic rock radio show, requesting songs that form a cryptic pattern. A message. A puzzle.
Jack Burris, a local obsessive known as “The Music Man,” hears what no one else does. The song requests aren’t random—they’re a code. And someone wants it decoded.
As the body count rises and the pattern sharpens, Angeline is forced to confront the only path forward: to catch the killer, they must solve the puzzle she’s daring them to crack.
But why would a professional assassin risk revealing anything at all?
Because this case isn’t just about murder.
It’s about control.
“It’s a captivating story… keeps the reader turning pages rather than setting it down. Great stuff.”
