Codex Creed (The Codex Wars)

He came to deliver a relic. He may have to rebuild a kingdom.

Aaron Thorn arrives in Hebron with a legendary Quest, only five Pages of experience, and a dangerous mission: deliver a mysterious Tenth Kingdom Node Fragment to King Amphrael. Surrounded by royal Codexers, veteran adventurers, and Academy students who have trained for years, Aaron is still dangerously underleveled. But while they follow the spells the Codex gives them, Aaron can tear those spells apart, combine their glyphs, and rewrite them into something entirely new.

He'll need every advantage he can create. The Nullifiers are recruiting in the open, an assassin is hunting his new professor, and the Node Network beneath Hebron is beginning to fail. With Ruth, Jonah, and Nimbus beside him, Aaron must complete his mission, earn Words, turn Pages, and prove that ingenuity can overcome raw power-before the hidden war for the Codex reaches the heart of Shinar.

Cradle meets Arcane Ascension in this LitRPG/progression fantasy featuring an underdog protagonist, weak-to-strong advancement, academy life, training arcs, inventive spell combinations, party progression, powerful rivals, hidden factions, crunchy stats, Words and Pages, clever uses of limited abilities, and a sarcastic magical companion.
