[xiv], 336, [viii], 390 pp.; small 8vo, original vellum over boards, all edges dyed dark blue. Title page printed in red and black, with a large vignette; plus two head pieces. Volume 2 (in two parts bound in one) to the second edition (1722) of the work first published in 1713. Scholar and prolific bibliographer Johann Albert Fabricius (1668-1736) compiled this group of anonymous or pseudonymous religious writings (usually Jewish) with false or fraudulent attributions. Text is in Latin and Greek. Part II here is the Hypomnesticon (extracts from the writings of Flavius Josephus), printed in double-column format, with Greek text alongside the Latin. With the manuscript ex libris (dated 1764) on the front pastedown of Christian Gottlieb Steinberg (1738-81), Breslau preacher and author of various religious works. Another early ink signature on the front blank. Very good overall; contents generally fine with only light to moderate browning; vellum covers are largely clean, with a trace remaining of the ink spine title on the back strip, which also has a small (about 3/4 in.) oval cut out and some wear at the head and tail.
