What about the rest of title? Python? Scratch? Lua? HTML? Java? HTML? C++? How are you supposed to know what those are and which one is “the best” choice for your child?
They can’t all be the best choice for your child—because not every child is alike.

The Title of this book is: Coding for Kids: Before You Choose Python. Its purpose is exactly what it says—you need much more information before you can intelligently choose Python or any other coding tool for your child.

Imagine how to be 100% certain your choice is the best choice even if you know little to nothing about coding

Imagine a step-by-step guide that will enable you to match the best language to your child.

Imagine your child’s excitement when they successfully make their very first project because you made the right choice!

Author Kenneth Sinclair has been coding for more than 50-years. He has personally experienced the evolution of programming to where it stands today and therefore has a unique, complete understanding of coding language tools. Raising two coding kids of his own, he also has a unique insight into how to match a coding language tool to a child’s personal traits.

When you read through Coding for Kids: Before You Choose Python, you’ll learn:
* How to choose the best first language when you know little to nothing about coding or coding languages
* What are Scratch, Python, Lua, Java, HTML, and C++ and why you would pick one over another
* Why some kids are suited more towards one language than another and how to determine the best match
* How to setup the coding tools environment and monitor your kid’s coding progress
* How to effectively coach your child through periods of frustration, recognize misfits between languages and make changes midstream
* How to document your child’s progress using the included lesson plans, progress checklists, and child’s personal
learning profile
* How to determine when your child is ready to move to the next level coding language
* How to support your child's school Computer Science program at home

You will only get one chance to give your child a “best” first coding experience. If you choose the wrong language, that first bad experience will stay with your child (and you) for the rest of their coding life. Worse yet, choosing wrong and having a bad experience may end your child’s interest in coding completely.

This book was designed as a parent-to-parent plain English guide to matching the best coding language to your child so you can ensure their first experience with coding is a positive, lifetime memory! This book will provide you with:
* Clear overviews of Python, Scratch, Lua, HTML, Java, HTML, and C++
* Detailed, step-by-step learning plans for each language choice discussed
* Personal child profiling guides to help match them to their “best” coding language
* Readiness checklists to help gauge progress towards their “next” language
* Helpful coaching and analysis hints for parents throughout

Coding for Kids: Before You Choose Python is a complete guide to picking the best language for your child before you make that all important choice.
