A Coding Mission (Adventures in Makerspace)

When you have a problem, where can you go for answers? The library! When Codie and her friends join Ms. Gillian, the Specialist, on another Adventure in Makerspace, they find themselves lost in a maze, with a monster just around the corner! Shannon McClintock Miller is the District Teacher Librarian and Innovation Director at Van Meter Community School in Iowa and Future Ready Librarians Leader working with students, librarians, educators, and others around the world every day. She is also the Capstone Champion and Follett Thought Leader. She works with Book Creator as the Future Ready Advocate. Shannon is the author of the award winning blog, The Library Voice. In June 2023, Shannon's newest children's book, Sonia's Digital World, was published by Capstone and ISTE. She has published four other children's books about library skills and eight graphic novels in the series Adventures in Makerspace with Capstone and Cantata Learning. Shannon and Bill Bass wrote a book with ISTE, Leading from the Library, with it's second edition published in 2025. Her newest series, ISTE Digital Explorers, came out in August 2025. Blake A. Hoena grew up in central Wisconsin, where he wrote stories about robots conquering the moon and trolls lumbering around the woods behind his parents house. He now lives in Minnesota and enjoys writing about fun things like history, space aliens, and superheroes. Blake has written more than fifty chapter books and dozens of graphic novels for children.

Alan Brown, is a freelance illustrator who has created artwork for Disney, Warner Bros. and the BBC, while continuing to provide illustrations for children's books and comics. Alan has worked mainly on children's books for kids who find it hard to engage and be enthusiastic about reading. These clients include Harper Collins, Capstone, Ransom, Franklin Watts and Ben 10 Omniverse.

Mark Mallman has released eight full-length studio albums. His songs have played on hundreds of media outlets worldwide, and he's scored music for countless film and television pieces.
