Born in 1975, Dennis Bates Jr is an only child with a love and dedication to the developmental growth of children. Growing up in a home based child care, he worked with children of all ages and now works in the public school systems. As a single father of a child with developmental delays (autism spectrum disorders "ASD"), he has become accustomed to the issues and struggles that children on the spectrum can face. Through the imagination and love for mysteries of his son Cody, Dennis penned his very first short novel / chapter book aimed at the elementary ages of 3rd to 5th grade. After completion of book one, he continues to work on a short series from this title "Cody's Treasure Cove". The series has now gained three titles and number four in the making.
