The investigation for my coin's origins was paralleled by an in-depth search for my ancient Calabrian roots. What I found was a mesmerizing history of horrifying natural catastrophes, invasions by both brutal and civilizing peoples, and other enthralling events that will leave the reader enlightened and amazed.

Michael Caputo was born in the beautiful Region of Calabria, in Southern Italy, but has resided in Canada most of his life. Michael holds a B.A. in Psychology, a B.Ed. in Education, a Masters in Psychology and Education, and several teaching qualifications. Michael taught at the high school level for over two decades, while teaching part-time at the college level for sixteen years.
