About this Item

First printing stated but actually first book club printing. A bright fine clean tight copy in publisher's burgundy cloth with gilt to upper cover and gilt spine title and black top stain, small neat faint previous owner's name stamp to front free endpage, no other markings. Original dust jacket is not clipped to flaps, a few short closed tears (1 inch or less) and with tiny chips to head and foot of spine and a 1 x 1/2 an inch chip to corner of rear panel. Overall a nice presentable copy of Capote's landmark work.
