About this Item

First UK Trade Edition of a title most commonly encountered in the book club edition. Tall 8vo; [12], 284pp. Near Fine or better publisher's green cloth (marred mostly by a narrow, two-inch-wide discolored area on the foot of the front fly leaf where a label was apparently removed), with a yellow top stain (slightly dusty), bright silver lettering to the spine and mustard colored end papers; in a Near Fine or better price-clipped dust jacket, the ends of which are very lightly rubbed. "From more than four thousand pages of typewritten notes gathered with Harper Lee, Capote's celebrated 'non-fiction novel' won the Mystery Writers of America Edgar Allan Poe Award and exacted enough of a psychological toll upon its author to preclude much sustained work in the future." (American National Biography) Note: With few exceptions (always identified), we only stock books in exceptional condition, with dust jackets carefully preserved in archival, removable polypropylene sleeves. All orders are packaged with care and posted promptly. Satisfaction guaranteed. Bookseller Inventory # BB0624
