The Cold Storage Baby: A Lawyer's Textbook On Honest Money And Irredeemable Paper Currency (1908)

The Cold Storage Baby is a textbook written by Denis O'Sullivan in 1908 which explores the concept of honest money and irredeemable paper currency from a legal perspective. The book provides a detailed analysis of the history of money and currency, and how the use of paper currency has impacted the economy. O'Sullivan argues that the use of paper currency has led to economic instability and that returning to the use of honest money, such as gold and silver, would be beneficial for the economy. The title of the book comes from a metaphor used by the author to describe the state of the economy, comparing it to a baby being placed in cold storage, frozen and unable to grow. The book is aimed at lawyers and legal professionals, but can also be of interest to anyone interested in the history of money and the economy. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
