About the Author
Mark Hirschfeld LCSW-C, BCD, is a board certified diplomate in clinical social work. For the last 20 years he has specialized in the assesment and treatment of incestuous families, including survivors and offenders. He served as the director for a treatment program for families involved with incest at a large mental health clinic in suburban Washington, D.C. He maintains an active private and consultative practice. Mark has presented professional workshops, seminars, in-service training and consultation throughout the United States.
Jill Cody, a nationally Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Maryland, earned her Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from Hood College. In addition, Jill received Post-Graduate training in Clinical Hypnosis at the American Hypnosis Training Academy in Silver Spring, and is currently a trainer for that organization. She travels extensively teaching clinical hypnosis skills to other Mental Health professionals, as well as maintaining a private psychotherapy practice in Frederick, Maryland. For several years, Jill served as the Stress Management Instructor for the Wellness Center at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
An active member of the Frederick Toastmaster Club and the National Speakers Association for many years, she is an enthusiastic public speaker. A charter member of the Rotary Club of Carroll Creek in Frederick, Jill is a past president. She is currently serving as the president of the Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors of Maryland.
