Problemstellung: Die immer aggressivere Preispolitik des deutschen Handels wirkt sich negativ auf Gewinnspannen und Renditen der gesamten Konsumg�terbranche aus. Starke horizontale Konzentration, anhaltende Vertikalisierung und ein seit Jahren r�ckl�ufiger Anteil des Einzelhandels an den Ausgaben der Konsumenten f�hren zu immer h�herem Wettbewerbsdruck. Die Zielsetzung der Unternehmen kann demnach nur sein, Kostenstrukturen zu optimieren und gleichzeitig ein Angebot zu schaffen, welches die gestiegenen Konsumentenbed�rfnisse befriedigt, ohne den Preis als alleiniges Profilierungsinstrument einzusetzen. Das CPFR-Konzept bietet gerade f�r die besondere Problematik der FMCG-Wirtschaft ein gro�es Potential, da Effizienzsteigerungen in der Wertsch�pfungskette dieser Branche nur noch auszubauen sind, wenn die vertikale Kooperation von Industrie und Handel sinnvoll vorangetrieben wird. Mit Collaborative Planning, Forecasting and Replenishment (CPFR�) wurde ein Konzept entwickelt, das sich dieser Problematik stellt. Kern der Arbeit ist die Frage, unter welchen Voraussetzungen eine CPFR-Kooperation auf Dauer und zum Vorteil f�r alle Partner verwirklicht werden kann. Gang der Untersuchung: Zu Beginn der Arbeit wird das konzeptionelle Umfeld des CPFR beleuchtet. Im Rahmen des im Jahre 2004 �berarbeiteten CPFR-Konzeptes wird anschliessend das Kernst�ck des Ansatzes, das 9-stufige-Prozessmodell, ausf�hrlich beschrieben und beurteilt. Im Anschluss an eine Einordnung in den theoretischen Bezugsrahmen widmet sich das sechste Kapitel dem aus CPFR zu realisierenden (und in der Praxis realisierten) Nutzen.
